This morning I felt like this…
So SLEEPY!
So sleepy that I think I slept through my shower this morning. Really, I don’t have any memorial of taking a shower this morning and the only reason I know it happened it because I don’t smell bad today. Days like this I dread getting up and going to work because I know it means it is going to be a long day with me day dreaming about my bed… sad right?
Well since I rode into work with Casey today while the Murano was getting some freshly squeezed juice (aka oil change) I was able to wake up enough to tell Brody to stop pawing me and to catch up with Casey on life! It had been a while since we last saved the environment my car pooling and with our crazy busy work schedules that have included travel for both us it makes it extremely difficult to ride together but when we do I notice the ride goes by so much faster!! I really need to start getting myself into bed early… Tim has a terrible habit of turning on 90210, Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries, or Glee at like 9:30 which means there is no departure for bed in my near future and I end up staying up until almost 11pm crying with Annie and the crew, scheming with Blair, or drooling over Stephan and Damon. Overall not a bad life but it certainly makes for a long morning! I think Tim forgets that now that tax season is over he gets an extra hour and 15 minutes of sleep than I do… which I will politely say is just an hour because I’m not my fumbling around and dropping things in the bathroom doesn’t make for a sound sleep but still that’s a long time! That hour is the difference between sweet wonderful productive Jaci and leave me the heck alone because I am considering biting your neck and sucking your blood Jaci.
I did get in a really solid CrossFit routine yesterday though with the ladies at the studio! I was with Ashley, Chris, and Kari and we rocked a really tough workout that was the perfect combination of strength and cardio. It looked like this..
5 min rowing warm-ups
First Round
- 1 Push-Ups
- 1 Jump Squat
- 1 Pull-Up
- 1 Wall-Ball
- 1 Hanging Knee Raise (HKR)
- 100 Meters on Rower
Second Round
- 2 Push-Ups
- 2 Jump Squats
- 2 Pull-Ups
- 2 Wall-Balls
- 2 HKR
- 200 Meters on Rower
So and so forth for a total of 20 minutes BUT since our group consisted of a bunch of over achievers we ended up doing around 24 minutes because we wanted to finish that 5th round! I may not have looked pretty afterward but I still managed to practice my L-Hold for a grand total of 16 seconds which for my first try I didn’t think was so bad!
Unfortunately I do NOT look like this girl when I do them. It’s more of a arms are quivering legs are barely off the ground sort of look. At least I have a look to it I suppose.
Oh and I should probably admit that this weekend was a BUST for running. I really do want to get to my 8 mile mark but finding time to run 8 miles is tough! That is like an hour and a half for me and while it is the sad truth I don’t usually have an hour and a half in my day during the weekends that is not accounted for… one of Tim’s biggest pet peeves! As you know from the other day most of the weekend was spent doing Confirmation stuff with some wedding stuff and lots of family fun thrown in.
Tim mentioned to me yesterday that he needed to get back on some resemblance of a work-out plan so I think the two of us need to sit down and plan it out. Like actually put placeholders on the calendar for such things- just seems like it would be a good idea to commit ourselves to certain things weekly. Now, since I am traveling literally every night next week I have no clue what the partnership is going to look like and since I am traveling for at least 1-2 days a week for the entire month our commitment may have to be small to start but it’s better than nothing! I am a huge fan of working out with a partner because I think I push myself a lot harder when other people are watching so while our running speeds are totally different and our lung capacities drastically differ I still think it’s a good idea to find things we can do together! It will just make it more fun right?
Stay tunes for a playlist update tomorrow to hear the new jams I have been rocking out too! Plus, I have some food updates to share since I am getting back on the bandwagon of healthy eating!
