The other night we had the chance to go out with some friends to celebrate Amanda’s birthday! Before heading to Bar Room (which is not my typical scene but was really fun) we had dinner at Sushi Rock in Cleveland.
I am a sushi LOVER so I was pumped when that trusty Facebook event message came through declaring that Amanda had decided on sushi for dinner! Happy Birthday to Amanda and to my belly!
The problem with sushi is that my eyes are ALWAYS bigger than my appetite and Tim’s eyes have that very same issue so we ended up with a ton of food! We tried a little bit of everything from salmon to eel and enjoyed a martini too! We had a Groupon gift certificate (another great website to get deals on) for $50 and we had no problem hitting that $50 so you can imagine that we had a lot of food!
Too much? Nah
I think that the spicy sauce was spicier there than I have ever had before but it was delicious. Plus, spicy food encourages lots of water drinking so it’s like getting a delicious meal and helping out my body at the same time. Multi-tasking I would say.

On top of the meal being delicious, we also got to enjoy the back room where there were only a few people. This allowed us to laugh a little louder than usual which I am always a big fan of!
Luckily, we got to sit by Tyler and Bethany- who didn’t judge us for the massive amount of sushi we ordered but went to town on theirs too! Tyler was grateful we shared a few pieces with him!
After dinner we headed out to Bar Room where Amanda and Paul got us in as VIP’s so we got to act cool and even have a bouncer there to protect us (protect us from what, I’m not sure but it was still cool haha)
Amanda and Paul did a photo shoot in front of the Christmas tree in the VIP section.
And then we enjoyed drinks and fun with friends!

I find that a lot of people don’t like to sushi which makes me sad but maybe more people like it than I think so tell me..
