Note to self: don’t do that again

Wow- sorry for the lack of updates! It was just a crazy busy week! By Friday afternoon I was really glad the week was finally over! The days went by fairly fast but there is nothing like the weekend being on the horizon. You can see it, touch it even but when it gets here… your whole world changes. Too dramatic hu? Ok well then. WELCOME WEEKEND. I have missed you for the last 5 days.

Wednesday was welcomed with open arms because at some point during the day I would be hitting my half way point to the weekend. So I woke up and literally had to drag Tim out of bed. He has ZERO interests in going with me today but it was way too dark outside for me to go by myself so I needed a big strong man to protect me. So we headed off to do our full 2 mile run with some walking for the warm up and cool down. We had a full half hour conversation about the I-Phone today! Tim is a technological dork genius so he loves talking about this kind of stuff. See, I have a Palm Pixi and while it functionally works great I am ready for a big kid phone that let’s me play games (ha sounds a little backward right?). I am just ready for a phone that can do more than my current one can. Plus, I can’t get any good running apps and I clearly will need those so that is one very good reason to get the I-Phone. Apparently trends say that the I-Phone is usually announced in like June or something but that didn’t happen so I was very sad. Then Tim read it should be announced in September so I was very happy. Now, I am just getting nervous it won’t be coming! So many emotions for 5:30 in the morning! PLUS Tim was saying how much more expensive this one will be because it cost more to put it together so I was thought it would be a good idea to get the I-Phone 4 when the 5 comes out and get a killer deal (always thinking of ways to save money!). But then I thought… will I be mad I didn’t get the latest and greatest? SO MANY CHOICES when it comes to phones! Sometimes I miss the days of that bigger Motorola phone that either had the back light in blue or green. One choice to make. That was it. That was nice.

So we made it home undecided about the I-Phone but hopeful that I will have a choice here in the next month and a half or so. I told Casey maybe I would have a sweet new phone by the time she got married- not sure if that was relevant at all to her wedding but it was a good time reference for me. After our run we got ready for work and I headed out the door. I can’t even remember what I had for breakfast that morning! OH NO! I am so sorry. I am thinking I had a smoothie so- pretty par for the course. I do remember I had a veggie burger salad for lunch. I put lettuce, tomatoes, olive, feta cheese, and used some poppy seed dressing w/ a Morning Star veggie burger to top it off. It was sooo good and that along with a bag of garden salsa chips filled me to the max yet I somehow found a way to eat the 2 sugar wafer cookies Casey brought me for dessert! It was a productive afternoon at work and I went home to head to dinner with Tim’s dad Mike and Karla.

BUT then Mike and Karla cancelled so we were all “what are we going to do for dinner now” and Tim’s dad was kind enough to let us go enjoy the pasta bar at Fairlawn Country Club since he ditched us. It had been FOREVER since Tim and I were at pasta bar so it was really nice to be there! Oh you are probably wondering what pasta bar is right? Pasta Bar is this amazing night where you go to the club and you can “create” your own pasta. You start with telling the nice chef what kinds of veggies and meat you want. I got shrimp, italian sausage, yellow squash, peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and I think that may be it. Then she cooks it up and adds in basil and some white wine while you pick your noodle type. There was spaghetti, penne, and bowtie (I got the bowtie), and then after she puts all of your tasty veggies on top of your pasta you go over the the sauce station and pick your sauce (red, meat, or alfredo). I figured it was one of those go big or go home kind of meals so I opted for just a little bit of the alfredo sauce. I paced myself and only ate a portion of the pasta (being a good girl!) but them moved on the ice cream bar where I had vanilla ice cream w/some crushed up Oreos and Heath bars. I had a few bites and then sent the rest back to the kitchen so I didn’t overload myself on all of the tasty stuff for you!

After this we were pretty much in a food coma so we made it back home and into our comfy bed ready for another day to start!

Thursday

Thursday’s run was easier to get through because it didn’t happen until 6:15ish. I was headed to the dermatologist that morning so we got to sleep in a bit. We decided we really need to push yourself in the morning because this was going to be my last run before the 5K I was in on Friday so Tim and I ran 2.5 miles in the morning with some added walking for warm-up and cool-down. I thought this run went really well and the weather was perfect and my breathing was good. I was dog tired at the end of it but totally proud of myself for making it!

After the run and a bowl of Peanut Butter Puffins I mixed up a smoothie to-go which ended up tasting more like chalk than anything else. WAY too much protein powder and not enough fruit or something so I only made it through about a ¼ of that thing and decided to call it quits. I noticed when I got home Tim thought it was gross too because he left most of it in the cup in the sink.

Day went by fairly fast since I got to work a little late and I enjoyed lunch with the rest of the marketing team. We were doing some presentation for a new addition to our team so we had a catered lunch of tomato basil soup, a turkey, tomato, lettuce, and onion sandwhich on flatbread along with some regular mixed greens salad and fruit salad for dessert. There were cookies too but I didn’t get any of those little guys. After the work day I headed to my mom’s for workout class where I got my butt kicked! Tim joined us ladies again and he was my “partner” for class so we just worked as hard as we could and got one hell of a workout. We did an interval where one partner rowed for 5 min while the other did a 30 second on, 30 second off workout that contained squats, and burpees, and mule-kicks, and throwing balls and catching balls, and working your butt off balls haha. It was TOUGH and I was sweaty and gross but it was exactly what I needed before I headed into this weekend of fun.

We had some BBQ chicken with my parents for dinner w/ some corn on the side (random side dish I made) and talked about lots of things going on in our lives before we headed home. I have some to really LOVE these weekday dinners with my parents because I feel like it is so easy to let life get ahead of you and sometimes you stop communicating about the little things that matter. So these dinners matter a lot to me and now that Tim has been able to join class it is great that the four of us get to hang out once or twice a week! After class and dinner it was an early to bed kind of night because that class just exhausted me.

Friday

Hello Friday! I knew today was going to be a good day because I had a lot of stuff going on at work and then we had a family and friends day at work in the afternoon that my mom was coming to along with Tim, Paul, and Amanda! So in the morning I jumped out of bed and got ready for work. I skipped my run this morning so I didn’t wear myself out before the 5K on Saturday which turned out to be a good thing because that workout class on Thursday made me SO SORE. Tim too! So at least I knew I wasn’t just being a baby! I put some FiberOne Cereal in a to-go container and took it along with some Almond Breeze Almond milk to work to have for breakfast.

When lunch rollled around I wanted to grab lunch with a few friends so we went to Pizza Hut for their $4.99 buffet- what a great deal! Totally unhealthy for me to have had that much pizza in 2 days but it was the company I wanted to keep so I was down with that! I didn’t eat too much because I knew I would be eating again in the afternoon with my mom and friends!

<3 good friends that come visit me at work!

When 3:00 rolled around my mom was right on time so we made our way around my campus at work to see all of the fun sites! About an hour or so later Tim, Amanda, and Paul got there and we all enjoyed some early dinner/late lunch together. I had a veggie burger, a few bites of the pulled pork I got before I realized there were veggie burgers, and some fruit salad. I stuffed myself and it was probably the first time in a long time I did some mindless eating and should have considered how my body was actually feeling because I ended up eating waaay too much and then feeling kind of bad the rest of the evening! Note to self: don’t do that again.

My late lunch/early dinner

Friday Closet Clean-Up

Friday morning Tim and I headed out for our last early run of the week! We completed another interval of a few long runs.
Warm Up 5 min
Run 11 min
Walk 2 min
Run 11 min
Walk 2 min

I was dragging this morning because my legs are ridiculously sore from last night’s workout. It was of a heck of a workout and my legs and butt were so so tired. So a few 11 min runs mixed in with a very sore lower body made for kind of a long morning and I was a little whiney looking back at it. Tim managed to randomly burst out in song in the middle of the run so he was clearly feeling pretty good but I was just all “oh that hurts” and “gosh my butt is sore” and “how many minutes do we have left” so now I am regretting feeling so whiney this morning. But hey, we aren’t all perfect right? Even someone who wants to love running is going to hate it sometimes. When I got home and got in the shower I was proud of myself though! Regardless of how I felt during the run it still felt good to look I the mirror and say “yep you made it this morning and you should be proud of yourself”. So my biggest learning of this morning… PUSH YOURSELF! Push yourself to be happy in your life. Push yourself to create a life with a wonderful person you love. Push yourself to be proud of yourself and make the good decisions you know you should make to be the better you know you can be.

This mornings run made me very hungry so I enjoyed an egg and tomato bagel with melted muenster cheese at home and still took a smoothie to go! I was just ridiculously hungry this morning for some reason. It must have been the mix of the workout last night and the run this morning but I felt like a monster this morning running through the kitchen picking up anything I could to put in my mouth!

Gotta start the day out... well delicious!

The end result!

For lunch I went to a little café with Casey and Tiffany! Tiffany just started work this week so it was great to catch up with her and see how things are going. I did a “create your own pizza” and had a pizza shell wit olive oil and salt and peppers as my base. Then I added on some grilled chicken chunks, tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms, and topped it all off with some buffalo sauce! Oh and don’t forget the small handful of mozzarella cheese! It was DELICIOUS. I LOVE these pizzas and probably eat then more than I should but it was well worth it.

Tim and I headed to the grocery store and a few other random places to get some errands done when we got home. After stopping at Lasar Quest to get some gift cards for 2 boys that are having a birthday party tomorrow we went to Acme to get a few things. While we were there we also grabbed some stuff to make some dinner! We decided to get chicken and this spice that creates chicken similar to General Tso chicken and put some rice on the side. It was pretty good- I mean let’s be honest it didn’t taste exactly like it would have had we ordered it but it was a pretty good alternative. At least I knew where that chicken came from and how it was prepared so I knew that helped make it at least a little healthier for me and still gave me that same taste I way too often crave.

Cooking some chicken up!

Add in the tasty sauce and simmer!

Great meal!

We spent the rest of the night cleaning the house and organizing closets. Very exciting Friday night hu? The house needed some TLC though… with my travel schedule for work and Tim just being busy at work neither one of us looks forward to the cleaning process nor it certainly is not a priority during the week. I try to concentrate on working out, spending time with Tim, and enjoying my evenings as much as I can so the last thing I want to do it clean every minute of the day. So. Yea I just pretty much tried to defend why my house is not clean during the week haha did it work? You feel bad for me right? Yea right! But it was nice to get those closets cleaned up. Out of the things below what do you hate to clean the most?

Texas is Freaking HOT

My tour of Texas is finally over and thank goodness because it was HOT. Just a few weeks ago I was sweating in the Florida sun burning my skin to a pretty much unbearable shade of red and that heat was nothing compared to my last few days of work! So Monday morning I enjoyed a nice morning run with Tim. It was great because my flight wasn’t leaving until close to noon so we were able to get up late for the run and anytime I can steal a few more hours of sleep, I do! So we headed out into the warm sun and completed Day 1 of a new interval.

Warm Up 5 min
Run 8 min
Walk 1:30 min
Run 9 min
Walk 1:30 min
Run 6 min
Walk 1:30
You can see I am trying to get some more variety into the intervals so that they don’t just seem like the same run time every time. I felt like I was getting a little bored with that so I had to mix things up. I like this interval (so far at least) even though I will say it was tough. I liked the idea of starting out strong and using that second interval as the longest but I kind of wished I would have gotten it over with at the beginning. I know it was only a minute difference but that 2nd interval seemed to go on forever. Now, I really enjoyed the last 6 minutes of running. That was like icing on the cake since it felt pretty easy compared to the other 2. I will say running a little later in the day does make things a lot hotter but it was worth it to get a few more hours of sleep! I also decided to not eat anything before the run because I was still full from my weekend in Milwaukee but I did have a glass of orange juice so I had something in my system to get me going. Tim still had half a bagel thin and some peanut butter to start him off!
So as the morning went on, I got ready for my flight and it never ceases to amaze me at the amount of stuff I have to pack. I would only be gone 2 nights but if you looked at my suit case you would like I was leaving for at least a week. Something about going somewhere else and not knowing what the hotel will have, what the weather will bring, or what you will spill on yourself (a very common occurrence for me) makes you want to pack your entire life away in a suitcase for 2 whole days. I got out the door and didn’t have breakfast because I was still not hungry! So I made my way to the Cleveland Airport and was, as always, so happy that Fast Park is so easy to find and get to. I have a tendency to get a little worried that I will get lost even though I have lived there my entire life.
Dallas
When I got to the airport I did enjoy a Superpower smoothie with a protein shot and I don’t think I remember everything in that smoothie but it has acai in it with strawberries, blueberries, and fat free vanilla frozen yogurt. I am finding out that I am obsessed with frozen yogurt yet no one around us has it! HOWEVER they are opening up a new place called Menchies… anyone ever heard of it? I am pretty sure I am going to live there when it opens! Check out the website link.. such a cute site! I got on my Delta flight and headed to my layover in Memphis, TN. There I did enjoy a sub that had turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and some seasonings. Then I got on another Delta plane and finally made my way to Dallas, TX. I kind of loved Dallas a city, mostly because the people I came across had big diamonds and big hair… 2 of my favorite things!
After a $50 cab ride to the Le Meridien Hotel I was thrilled when the woman checking me in offered me a free upgrade to a suite on the “VIP Floor”. Umm yes please! After checking out my awesome suite (see some photos below- sorry the pics were taken on my phone) the 5 of us there on our business trip headed to the Grand Lux Café for dinner. I had heard quite a few things about this place but have to say that particular meal I was less than impressed. The service was slow and the food was not impressive. I, along with 2 other co-workers, picked their tuna dish and the tuna looked more like skinny little burgers than a nice thick piece of salmon. The highlight of my trip was probably the white sangria I had… which was delicious! The asparagus and sautéed spinach was pretty good too. I think this is supposed to be like the “upscale” version of the cheesecake factory but I find the Cheesecake Factory to be far more impression.
We enjoyed a drink after dinner and then I made my way to my “suite” room (haha like sweet) for a good nights sleep BUT then I realized that the bachlorette was on and even though I had missed the final date part of the show I had to see who she picked!
I am assuming I am not spoiling it for anyone to talk about this so oh I just love JP! I was a little disappointed that she actually let Ben get down on one knee and propose though- I mean she saw him going toward the ground, the least she could have done was to be like no wait and at least save him just a little bit of embarrassment. But no, he ended up devastated but I do love JP to the end result was OK with me. I didn’t watch after the final rose yet- So I have nothing to add to that- I’m sure I will after I see it all!

My adorable little sitting area

My big bed... all to myself!

The next morning I found the workout facility at the hotel and headed down for a run on the treadmill. 2 things I noted about Dallas

  1. It is WAY too hot to run… even at 5:30 in the morning
  2. It is WAY to dark to run at 5:30 in the morning when you factor in that time change
So I completed the same interval from yesterday morning (above) but did on the treadmill which made it feel like a completely different interval. It was freaking hot in that workout room and my IPOD wouldn’t connect right so I was just frustrated by that but I was still able to listen to it regularly. Running outside and running on the treadmill just feel like 2 completely different types of run. I prefer running outside but found myself thinking “oh crap, what am I gonna do when it gets cold in Ohio?” Yea, I better figure that out! After my run  and my 3 egg white omelet filled with tomatoes and green peppers, we headed out for work to complete a fun filled morning of trainings.
Before we headed to the airport to depart for Houston we all decided to try this restaurant called Babes Chicken. Let’s see what I can say about Babes to set the scene here. Babes has no menu’s because they only serve 5 things. Fried chicken, fried catfish, fried chicken fingers, fried chicken steak, and something else. And whether you like it or not (a direct quota from our very southern waitress) your meal is served with mashed potatoes, green beans, creamed corn, and gravy. Oh and don’t forget the rolls and salad that were already on the table. OH MY GOSH! This was exactly what I think of when I think of Texas food. There was only 1 cowboy hat in the entire restaurant though so that was just a bit disappointing. I was hoping for some line dancing and maybe even a show with guns. I got the chicken fingers and well, I have to be honest right, they were freaking amazing chicken fingers. They tasted like 10 pounds each bite I took but they were the best 10 pounds I have ever knowingly put on. The mashed potatoes were also some of the best ones I have ever had. I could have done without the creamed corn, and the green beans were the most unhealthy green beans in the world so I would have rather wasted that on the chicken itself. We all pretty much agreed that it was a fantasticly weird meal.
Then, off the airport we went… running! The chicken lunch must have been so good we got lost in its awesomeness and had to race to the airport. Once there we found out our flight at been cancelled. Wonderful right? It was just a half hour later so I think that worked out to our benefit anyway. We did make it to Houston and after getting lost for 45 min we made it to our hotel for the night the Aloft Hotel. I had heard a lot about the Aloft from Casey and here sister Dana who have been to the one in Milwaukee but I have to say I was not that impressed with it. The rooms were SMALL so small. They didn’t even offer me a suite, how rude! It is supposed to be this very modern young hip hotel but it just wasn’t my favorite. The bed was comfy and the air conditioning worked great though so the front desk didn’t hear any complaining from me.
For dinner in Houston we went to The Capital Grill across to the hotel. We had a heck of a time there laughing and joking about the most ridiculous things. I had a bowl of French Onion Soup along side a Snapper/Halibut (the waitress didn’t know which one it was even though I ordered Halibut and I couldn’t tell) that was on top of some tomatoes and something else. It was just OK- not great but not terrible. I suppose I should have went back to Babe’s hu? For another round of fried chicken fingers. The highlight of this meal was the company… I have such great co-workers that are super fun to be around. Right behind us was this mysterious red curtain that a group of people were behind and well at one point we had talked ourselves into believing it was George Bush (mostly because they have wine lockers there and one said George Bush) so well logically so that must be him. Well apparently the air-conditioning was broke behind the curtain so at one point they opened the curtain to get some air and well… nothing but a bunch of normal people drinking a lot of wine. What a let down that was. They quickly closed the curtain once they realized we had been stalking them for about an hour before the curtain opened. They were either extremely creaped out or offended… either way it was fun for us.
Made it back to the hotel and again went to bed. This travel stuff just makes me so tired. The next morning I made my way to this fitness center and found a pretty fancy treadmill in there waiting for me. I didn’t have to get up until 6 and that extra half hour of sleep must have really made a different because I was feeling energized and ready to go. I have a 5K in 2 weekends so I knew I needed to step up my game a little and since I was feeling pretty good I decided it was a good morning to do it. I completed the following interval…
Warm Up 5 min
Run 11 min
Walk 2 min
Run 11 min
Walk 2 min
This felt great and I was happy to be able to run the full 11 min. I think I’ll try this again tomorrow, outside, and see what it feels like! I am hoping to do this 5K in about 30-32 min and hoping to complete the Susan G. Komen 5K, in September, in about 28 min. I have my work cut out for me but I like having goals so I am going to keep trucking along!
After the work-out I got ready and enjoyed an egg, tomato, basil, and pesto sandwich on a whole wheat English muffin. It tasted great but the pesto pretty much stayed with me all day. I attempted to drink some carrot juice but it tasted like crap so I ended up throwing it away. I ended up eating a Banana Nut Odwalla bar during the training and it was really good… I think I’ll do some more research about those! Filled me up just enough to make it to the airport where the remaining 3 of us enjoyed linner (a mix of lunch and dinner, at least I assume dinner as well because I am typing this on the air plane so I am not sure if I will eat more). We went to this place in the airport called Pappadeaux and oh my gosh. Everything I had there was delicious. Probably my favorite meal in Texas, which is funny that it was in the airport! We ordered a lump crab meat and spinach dip for an appetizer that was served with garlic bread and it was too good to describe. Very garlicy and as a matter of fact the man next to me is probably hating me right now but it tasted great. It had just enough fishy taste but not so much that someone who isn’t a huge fan of fish wouldn’t like. For my dinner I got this shrimp and lobster chucks salad that has peanuts, mangos, and avocados. I got the citrus salad dressing on the side. The presentation on thing this was so pretty (sorry I am just not ready to take pictures of food with my co-workers around) and it tasted even better than it looked. The fruit in the salad was perfect and the crunch of the peanut was a prefect addition to the citrus dressing. The lobster chunks didn’t feel as fresh as I have had it before but it was still good. The shrimp tasted like any normal shrimp but combining normal shrimp with all of those other great flavors certainly made it seem better.
We did go crazy and the 3 of ordered 1 slice of Key Lime Pie before we departed. Well, it was just amazing. The graham cracker crust seemed darker than others I have seen and may have had more cinnamon or something in it than I am used to but it was so good. The key lime didn’t have that sharp flavor that I love but it was still probably one of my favorite parts of the trip to Texas. We each had a few bites and left the rest for the trashcan monster (lucky guy) because we were not willing to feel like crap during our flights!
And now, I am sitting on plan 1 of the evening which is headed to Atlanta. I will land and spring to my next gate since my manager and I have a whopping 30 min to get on our next flight. Atlanta is probably the one and only airport I wouldn’t mind having a slightly longer layover. Delta did offer me some $$ to give up my seat and go to another flight but it didn’t leave Houston till 7 (3 hours later than the flight I am on) and got in an hour later to Cleveland. I just wasn’t willing to sit bored at the airport that long although a nice straight through flight would have been nice. If I miss my flight in Atlanta I am going to really regret that decision!
So yep- that was my work week (thus far) and my first trip to Texas. Other than the heat and the palm trees in Houston it didn’t feel so much different than anywhere else. The people said “ya’ll” a lot and I hope to have picked that up because it sounds so sweet but overall it was just another day in a different city! I do like this traveling stuff though- it is nice to see different places and meet different people. If I miss this upcoming flight.. don’t worry you will all hear about it!

Robbed By The Balloon-Thief

Gosh! I know I have so much to catch you all up on and it has been such a world wind of fun over the last few days. It pretty much consisted of running, working, eating, and a terrible night’s sleep along with a few plane rides!

Thursdays Run

Thursday was TOUGH. I don’t know what it was about that morning, maybe the weather but I couldn’t move! My first interval was tough so I think I was automatically in the wrong mindset. There is something about struggling in the first interval that makes you struggle the rest of the way through your run. I think that just goes to show how much your mind controls how your body works! Tim, of course, ran like it was nothing… never out of breath and always seemed like it was just a walk in the park. Gosh I am jealous of that. But in any case I was really struggling today but once again knowing that I had to report back to you all made it worth it to me to keep going! I kept up the same interval that we have been running this week and of course did 3 intervals of it. It’s too my Peanut Butter Puffins didn’t give me the energy this morning!

Warm up 5 min
Run 7 min
Walk 1:30 min

So tasty!

For breakfast I made the same delicious sandwich as yesterday. Today I was kind enough to make one for Casey too! She was jealous yesterday but I knew it would have been hard to eat, drive, and attempt to get Brody off of her so I didn’t make one for her. This morning I was driving her so I made sure to make her a tasty sandwich. She seemed to really enjoy it so I think I’ll do that again! She better not expect it every morning because I just don’t think I can make it work haha. In case you missed it yesterday that beauty below is 2 egg whites, 1 slice of Munster cheese, a few leaves of basil, and tomato on a everything flavored bagel thin.

Here it is again! for your viewing pleasure

For lunch I had a pseudo turkey sandwich meaning that I made a turkey sandwich but didn’t put it on any bread I put it on salad instead. So I put turkey, cheese, tomato, onion, and cilantro on a bed of lettuce with some balsamic vinaigrette dressing SOOO GOOD.

I went to dinner at my sisters and she made some chicken that had been marinated in teriyaki and put some corn and mashed potatoes at the side! It was really good but the piece of chicken was HUGE and I knew I was interested in dessert so I tried not to over eat while I was there. For dessert we indulged ourselves in this pistachio dessert that my sister’s friend Erin made. It had some sort of cake/graham cracker crust with pistachio pudding and cool whip. It was topped off with some nuts which I thought added in a really nice crunch. We opted to not use bowls and went straight to the dessert dish… no worries we somehow managed to stop ourselves before eating the entire thing!

SOOO GOOD.. and yes those are my finger marks!

I headed home after a nice night at my sisters to an empty house =( Tim had headed out earlier that evening to Mark’s bachelor party so I was home alone. I lived alone for a few years so usually I am just fine being alone and since I was packing forMilwaukeeuntil 11:30pm I was exhausted when I was finally able to get to bed. BUT at 3am I heard this noise that sounded JUST LIKE someone opening up our front door and below I have outlines all of the many things that went through my head.

1. Seriously, they would rob me when Tim isn’t home?

2. Oh wait maybe they have been stalking me and have been planning to rob me all along?

3. Should I hide? Under the covers? In the closert?

4. What the heck is that scrapping noise coming from downstairs?

5. OK Jaci you are tough you can take it go get um

6. Gosh I am going to poop my pants

7. Cell phone in hand (911 dialed but didn’t hit send)

8. Grab the photo frame- it’s at least heavy

9. Gosh I wish I could remember where I put that mini baseball bat

10. Ok down 2 stairs

11. Why didn’t they turn on any lights? How do they know what they are stealing?

12. OMG that sounds like the fan I think it fell from the ceiling

13. OK get low what is the blades fly off the fan and chop off your head

14. OK RUN down the stairs to turn on the light but stay low so you don’t lose your head

15. GREAT it is just a darn balloon stuck in the fan

16. Yep going back to bed… I am not even going to bother getting that thing out.

Yep… I thought I got robbed by a balloon. Thank you mom very much for our Congratulations balloon! It also taught me a valuable lesson… I believe in myself enough to try to take on a robber. Crazy? Maybe. But I sure am glad it was just a balloon.

Have you ever had something like that happen? Tell me about it!

And yes, Tim really enjoyed this story the next day. Due to this balloon fiasco and the fact that I was unable to fall asleep for at least an hour I skipped the morning run on Friday. I needed some serious sleep and I just wasn’t willing to be a bear all day long because of 4 hours of sleep. Don’t be disappointed! I just couldn’t make it.
