This was a VERY busy weekend. Friday night was spent at home hanging out and dealing with wedding stuff! Then Saturday we woke up and started our very productive and amazingly entertaining day early as we headed to Hollo’s Paper in Brunswick, Ohio for wedding envelopes.
Have I mentioned that I LOVE LOVE Hollo’s before? I’m sure I have but is seriously one of the most magical places on earth. If you are looking for bulk cardstock paper or envelopes I don’t think you could go a better place. Not only do they have ridiculously reasonable prices, they also have a huge selection. Of course we opted for the regular bright white ones but still our choices were by no means limited.
So after the envelope fun, we headed to Greystone (our reception site) to do our taste testing. We were stuffed by the end of the it but it was a really great day. Pretty much no one in our families had seen the facilities yet (Tim and I just like to make decisions and move on) so it was nice for them to get a tour and get the history behind the beautifully decorated building. Dinner choices were picked, alcohol was chosen, details were worked out and then we walked around Akron for a bit looking for good picture locations.
Akron is no the prettiest place on earth so I didn’t leave that whole experience feeling very warm and fuzzy BUT I truly believe that we have the best wedding photographer on earth (Scott Duncan) so regardless of backdrop I am confident that Scott will do an amazing job.
After the stroll around Akron my mom and I decided that we should go to mall to do some casual shopping. I had received a stellar 50% off up to 3 items at The Limited that I was determined to take advantage of and so I did!
Meet my new favorite dress:
I’m wearing it right now and it is so comfy and just another color for me on a Monday! I’m pretty much obsessed and have decided that it will be a shower dress for sure! I also picked up a new top and a new set of earrings
Another thing I am wearing today! I just love those cute little things.
I pretty much love the look and feel of this dress so I am really considering a few others… (and it feels like wedding expense for the honeymoon right?)
So now I am just waiting on another wonderful coupon to arrive in the mail or in my e-mail so I can purchase some goodies!
After some successful shopping (and a cute shirt from Cache as well) we went to The Rail to meet my dad and Tim who were already a few drinks in.
Well what do they say? If you can’t beat um? That’s right. We joined them.
And a few hours later, martinis and long islands in our belly, and Donatos pizza in hand we well we had a good time.
It was a pretty long evening and an even longer morning but Tim and I enjoyed a nice lunch with Peggy- out fabulous cupcake woman that own Just Desserts in Medina, Ohio. Not only is Peggy the most amazing cupcake maker in the world but she makes a hell of a chicken, spinach, and apple salad and is just truly a pleasure to be around! We make a quick stop at Mom and Dad’s to watch my big sister teach her beautiful 3 year old how to swim
And then we headed to our first “marital counseling” course! It was a really great day of just spending time together, with people we love, and just getting lots of wedding stuff done! It always feels good to cross things off the list =)
Well now that I have essentially gone online shopping during a post I think I’ll sign off!
I hope you had a FABULOUS weekend! Stay tuned for house updates- Tim and I are getting the house painted this week!!
