Apple Butter 5K
I made it through the last 5K I am signed up for this year! Although I am hoping to potentially participate in at least 1 more or even a 10K before the winter really hits! This run is called the Apple Butter Run and is located in Orrville,OH. There were a bunch of us that participated in this run… Kara, Casey, Christina, Jaclyn, and myself along side a lot of other co-workers and great runners! This was by no means an impressive time- I came in at 32:30 but it was a fun run that I wanted to do with Kara!
But poor Kara could barely breathe the entire time since she wasn’t feeling very good. I was so proud of her for getting out there and running like that and just sticking it out. Now that is commitment! We did have to walk a few times to allow Kara’s poor nose to come back to life so I thought our time was pretty good considering the sickness she was fighting! We both felt pretty good finishing… I knew I didn’t push myself as hard as I could have nor did I push myself like I did at the Komen run but it was still a great run and a great start to a Saturday!
Christina and Casey both bought their dogs… Brody you already know and Christina’s dog is named Lexi! She was sooo sweet and omg a great runner! Her and Christina finished in under 30min and you could tell they were just really enjoying themselves!
Brody was doing good until he stirred too much up and had to use the restroom around mile 2.5 ha. But Brody and Casey still finished strong! I know this was Brody’s first race and I think it was Lexi’s too? The kids LOVED having the dogs around and Christina said they were all cheering “Go Puppy” as Lexi ran by!
It was something fun to do on a Saturday afternoon!!
